Job Position: Automobile Engineer
Job Location: Ikorodu, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities
- Manage maintenance of forklifts, loaders, trucks, trailers, company vehicles, diesel generators, and material handling equipment.
- Develop preventive maintenance schedules for all fleet and mobile equipment.
- Diagnose engine, hydraulic, transmission, electrical, and mechanical faults.
- Monitor fuel consumption and improve fleet efficiency.
- Reduce vehicle downtime and maintenance costs.
- Maintain vehicle service records, licensing, insurance, and statutory compliance.
- Coordinate spare parts planning and workshop operations.
- Ensure safety compliance for drivers and operators.
- Train operators on daily equipment inspection and safe operation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree, Higher National Diploma or OND in Automobile Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 4 - 8 years of experience maintaining industrial fleets or heavy equipment.
- Experience in a manufacturing, engineering, industrial, or fleet management environment is highly preferred.
- Hands-on experience with diesel engines, hydraulics, forklifts, loaders, trucks, generators, and diagnostic tools.
- Strong planning, troubleshooting, and cost-control skills.
