Job Description
- The Business Operations & Transformation Manager will serve as the COO's execution partner, translating strategic priorities into coordinated programmes, measurable milestones and completed outcomes.
- The role builds the discipline needed to move the organisation from a person-dependent, manually coordinated business to a structured, scalable, technology-enabled institution; actively coordinating execution, closing operating gaps and ensuring every priority has a named owner, deadline and definition of done.
Your core mandates would be;
- Drive the organisation's transformation portfolio
- Strengthen executive execution and accountability
- Institutionalise critical processes, SOPs and decision rights
- Coordinate cross-functional delivery and resolve dependencies
- Provide the COO with accurate, concise, decision-ready operating information
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Economics, Technology or a related field; relevant postgraduate degree or professional qualification is an advantage
- 8-12 years of progressive experience, including significant time in banking, fintech, payments, consulting or another complex regulated environment
- Demonstrated delivery of cross-functional transformation, with strong programme/project management and process/operating-model design experience
- Experience working directly with executive leadership, with working familiarity with risk, internal controls and corporate governance
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong analytical and data skills (advanced Excel; SQL or BI tools such as Power BI/Tableau are a plus), plus process mapping and SOP design
- Ownership and relentless follow-through. Tracks commitments to verified completion without needing to be chase
- Executive presence to engage, challenge and influence senior leaders respectfully, with structured problem-solving and sound commercial judgment
- Clear, concise, decision-ready communication, integrity under pressure, and the ability to build genuine adoption of change not just documents.
