Job Title: Claims Officer

Location: Jos, Plateau
Employment Type: Full-time

Role Summary

• The Claims Officer will maintain accurate records and ensure all processes meet regulatory compliance standards.
• This includes liaising and coordinating with insurers, clients, and internal departments.
• Responsible for claims processing, verification, and management.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow up on outstanding claims and payments
• Ensure all claims processing meets regulatory and company compliance standards
• Process and verify patient insurance claims accurately and timely
• Prepare claims reports for management
• Liaise with HMOs, insurance companies, and clients on claims matters
• Maintain proper documentation and records of all claims

Qualifications & Skills

• Degree in Insurance, Finance, or a related field
• Proficiency in computer applications, especially MS Office
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Minimum of 3 years claims processing experience in a hospital or HMO setting
• NYSC completed
