We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Admin and Finance Officer

Location: Jos, Plateau
Employment Type: Full-time

Position Overview

  • Global Peace Development (GPD) seeks a competent, proactive, and detail-oriented Admin and Finance Officer to support the effective administration and financial management of the Plateau State Office.
  • The successful candidate will ensure compliance with organizational financial policies, donor compliance, and statutory requirements while providing administrative support that facilitates efficient programme implementation and office operations.

Responsibilities
Finance:

  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all financial transactions are properly documented, posted on QuickBooks and filed.
  • Prepare monthly project financial reports for timely submission of financial documentation to the Head Office.
  • Assist in budget preparation, budget monitoring, and expenditure tracking.
  • Ensure compliance with GPD financial to partners.
  • Manage petty cash and conduct regular cash reconciliations.
  • Monitor project expenditures to ensure alignment with approved budgets.
  • Prepare payment vouchers, process payments, and maintain the cashbook and financial registers.
  • Manage and retire office impress
  • Maintain records of assets and support inventory management.
  • Support internal and external financial audits by preparing required documentation.

Administration:

  • Ensure compliance with organizational administrative policies and procedures.
  • Perform any other finance and administrative duties assigned by the State Coordinator or management.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, staff documentation, leave administration, and personnel record management at the state level.
  • Carry out all administrative and financial tasks as may be designated by the management
  • Maintain administrative records, contracts, personnel files, and office documentation.
  • Oversee procurement processes in accordance with GPD procurement policies and donor guidelines.
  • Ensure proper management of office facilities, equipment, supplies, and utilities.
  • Liaise with vendors, service providers, financial institutions, and relevant government agencies on administrative and statutory matters.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements, logistics, meetings, workshops, and other organizational events.
  • Coordinate the day-to-day administrative operations of the state office.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • High level of integrity, accountability, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Minimum of 3 years' relevant experience in finance, administration, accounting, or operations
  • Good knowledge of donor compliance requirements and financial management procedures.
  • HND or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • Professional certification or progress toward certification (ICAN, ACCA, ANAN, or equivalent) will be an added advantage.
