Job Title: Civil Engineer (Geotechnical / Geoenvironmental Construction)

Responsibilities
- Managing, designing, developing, creating, and maintaining large scale construction projects
- Conducting on-site investigations and analysing data
- Assessing potential risks, materials, and costs As a Civil Engineer,
- Manage, design, develop, create, and maintain small-scale through to large-scale construction projects in a safe, timely and sustainable manner.
- Conduct on site investigations and analyse data (maps, reports, tests, drawings and other)
- Carry out technical and feasibility studies and draw up blueprints that satisfy technical specifications.
- Supervise the foundation investigation and installation/ constructions of projects.
- Provide advice and resolve creatively any emerging problems/deficiencies.
- Forecast possible problems that could emerge on project sites.
- Manage end to end project delivery inclusive of site personnel management.
- Monitor progress and compile reports on project status.
- Manage equipment breakdown and regulatory complaint on site.
- Gathering data on exhilarating conditions at construction sites, including soil conditions, land elevations, or seismic activity.
- Administering tests to measure physical properties such as the tensile strength of materials.
- Educating drawings, sketches charts, and schematics to document proposals for new construction projects.
- Evaluating blueprints and other design documents to ensure that they meet the code requirement.
- Harmonizing with architects and other designers to ensure that plans meet the needs of the client while meeting government regulations that might apply to specific projects.
- Supervise the foundation investigation and installation/ constructions of projects.
- Work with surveyors to get exact points for piles to be installed.
- Decide on equipment and quantity of materials required to execute project.
- Supervise equipment set up for project commencement.
- Carrying out other duties as assigned by the team lead.
Requirements and Skills
- B.Sc/HND in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 2nd class lower/merit with 2-4 years’ experience working as a civil engineer.
- Excellent attention to details with a high level of efficiency, accuracy, and responsibility.
- Experience in foundation piling
- Working knowledge of the construction/engineering industry.
- Excellent knowledge of design and visualizations software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D or similar
- Proficiency in site layout, grading, utility design, erosion control, regulatory approvals etc.
- Project management and supervision skills
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
- Professional engineering license
- Solid analytical and mathematical skills.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Male for gender balance
