Job Summary

• The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing site operations, supervising installations, conducting technical evaluations, and ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory and industry standards.
• We are seeking to hire a skilled and experienced Civil Engineer with strong project coordination and project management expertise to oversee construction and piling foundation projects from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer material tests and assess structural integrity where necessary.
• Work closely with surveyors to determine accurate pile installation points.
• Supervise piling foundation investigations, installations, and construction activities.
• Gather and interpret site data including soil conditions, elevations, and environmental factors.
• Manage, design, develop, and maintain construction projects from small-scale to large-scale execution.
• Collaborate with architects, consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are achieved.
• Identify potential project risks and provide proactive solutions to emerging issues.
• Monitor project progress and prepare status reports for management.
• Manage site personnel, contractors, and equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
• Determine equipment requirements and material quantities for project execution.
• Supervise equipment setup and site preparation before project commencement.
• Evaluate blueprints and construction drawings to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Conduct on-site investigations and analyze reports, drawings, maps, tests, and related data.
• Coordinate and oversee end-to-end project delivery and site operations.
• Carry out any other duties assigned by the Team Lead.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards on all project sites.
• Manage equipment breakdown issues and ensure proper maintenance coordination.
• Carry out technical and feasibility studies to ensure project viability and compliance with specifications.

Requirements

• Proven experience within a geotechnical engineering or construction company.
• Professional Engineering License is an added advantage.
• 5-10 years cognate experience in Civil Engineering and Project Coordination.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, engineering principles, and site management.
• Good understanding of site layout, grading, utility design, erosion control, and regulatory approvals.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other engineering design/visualization software.
• Hands-on experience supervising piling foundation projects.
• B.Sc./HND in Civil Engineering.
