Job Title: Canteen Manager

Location: Surulere - Lagos and Ibadan - Oyo

Job Summary

  • The ideal candidate will oversee daily canteen operations, ensure efficient food production and service delivery, maintain hygiene standards, manage staff, control inventory, and ensure cost-effective operations while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
  • We are recruiting for an experienced Canteen Manager for its client in the food service industry.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare operational and meal reports, monitor food costs and expenses
  • Monitor stock levels, conduct inventory checks, reduce wastage, and ensure proper portion control
  • Coordinate meal schedules and maintain smooth workflow across kitchen and service areas
  • Ensure meals meet quality, taste, and portion standards while enforcing HACCP and food safety compliance
  • Manage kitchen and service staff, prepare schedules, monitor performance, and provide training on hygiene, food safety, and customer service
  • Maintain cleanliness, proper food storage, and overall hygiene standards
  • Maintain supplier and vendor relationships
  • Oversee cost control, budget adherence, and operational efficiency
  • Supervise daily food production and service operations and ensure timely preparation and distribution of meals
  • Handle customer complaints and ensure consistent service quality and satisfaction

Requirements

  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Degree/Diploma in Hospitality Management, Catering, Food Science or related fields
  • Good knowledge of food safety, HACCP, inventory, and cost control
  • 5–10 years’ experience in large-scale catering or industrial kitchen operations

Salary
N300,000 - N350,000 per month (Based on experience).
