We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Assistant Librarian

Location: Ibadan, Oyo

Job Summary

The University Library invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Assistant Librarian.
The successful candidate will support the effective delivery of library and information services to the University community.

Key Responsibilities

Provide basic reference and research assistance to students and staff.
Maintain library records and support stock management activities.
Assist in cataloguing, classification and organization of library resources.
Participate in user education and information literacy programmes.
Support circulation services, including lending, returns and user registration.
Assist users in accessing electronic resources and databases.

Qualifications and Requirements

A good Bachelor’s Degree in Library and Information Science (LIS).
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic ICT proficiency and familiarity with library operations.
Evidence of registration with the Librarians’ Registration Council of Nigeria (LRCN) will be an added advantage.
Ability to work effectively in a team.
Minimum of one (1) year relevant post-qualification experience.
