Job Position: Subsea Engineer
Job Location: Rivers
Employment Type: Contract
Key Responsibilities
- Support the design, engineering, and execution of subsea projects (e.g., pipelines, risers, umbilicals, subsea structures).
- Plan and oversee subsea installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair activities.
- Interface with offshore teams (ROV, diving, vessel crew) to ensure smooth operations.
- Prepare engineering documents including procedures, method statements, and technical reports.
- Review and interpret subsea drawings, specifications, and client requirements.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation measures.
- Ensure compliance with HSE standards, industry codes, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical support during offshore campaigns and troubleshooting of subsea equipment.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and vendors to deliver project objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Marine, Petroleum, or related field).
- 3–8+ years’ experience in subsea engineering within upstream oil & gas.
- Strong knowledge of subsea systems (pipelines, SURF, trees, manifolds, umbilicals).
- Experience with offshore operations (installation, IMR, or construction support).
- Familiarity with industry standards (API, ISO, DNV).
- Offshore certifications (e.g., BOSIET, HUET, Offshore Medical) are an advantage.
