Job Title: Shift Mechanical Engineer (Power Plant)

Job Summary

• To engage the service of an experienced Mechanical Shift in charge whose role is to ensure that plant equipment functions reliably, efficiently, safely, and satisfactorily by ensuring upkeep of all power plant equipment through adherence to standards and industry best practices.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintaining the history cards of all equipment in the sections and keeping track of maintenance activities attended.
• Maintaining and ensuring safety in all activities of operation and Maintenance.
• Prepares the annual expenditure budget for the Mechanical section and analyze the variance (Budget Vs Actual) & imitate necessary effective control measures.
• Executes the jobs informed by the operation team in the shift entrusted for smooth operation of the plant.

• Shall report to the Assistant Mechanical in Charge Power Plant any events of Mechanical Equipment complications.
• Accountable for the adoption of SOP during operation & maintenance.
• Maintaining and ensuring optimal performance of all equipment of the plant and achieving Power Generation as per target by adopting and initiating necessary actions and corrective measures.

Educational Qualification and Work Experience

• Certificates on Sugar Engineering will be an added advantage.
• 7-10 years of experience in any power plant, with preference for Bagasse Based Power plant experience (or any other related field)
• COREN, NSE or Any related professional qualification.
• Shall hold the minimum of B-Tech/BE/BSc / HND in Mechanical Engineering.
