We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Land Development Officer

Location: SSC P-Numan, Adamawa

Job Summary

  • A candidate with a strong background in the agricultural mechanization. Knowledge in Land development procedures i.e., Ploughing harrowing Gps Leveling and auto guided ridging / drip in section and mechanical covering.
  • This role will involve collaborating with land development manager.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain organized records of all land development-related documents and Provide regular correspondence.
  • Monitor the execution and performance of operators and machinery per operation as per time lines.
  • Address and resolve any issues related to labor performance, disputes, or changes in project scope in conjunction with Manager.
  • Manage effective communication with workshops and land development manager.
  • Coordinating workshops for breakdown and maintenance and fueling of machines.
  • Reports on project progress status, deliverables, and performance metrics to the management.
  • Ensure milestones and deadlines are met, with proper documentation of changes.
  • Work closely with land development managers and external partners to address matters and ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Looking after and coordinating all land development activities, ploughing harrowing, Gps leveling and ridging or drip insection all atomized.

Educational Qualification and Work Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Mechanical Engineering, survey or another related field.
  • Experience in managing land preparation related to agriculture, irrigation systems.
  • Minimum of (3) years of experience in Land development operations.

Skill and Competencies:

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to understand survey terminology and field designs particularly GPS leveling.
  • In-depth knowledge of Agricultural mechanization (e.g. GPS) guided in ploughing, harrowing, leveling and ridging) and as well as familiarity with the standards and sequence of land development
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Ability to manage labor and Machinery to minimize loses in overshooting budgets
