Myrtle Management Consultants - Our client, a maritime company that commenced operations in 2008, is the first new port development in Lagos since the construction of Tin Can Island. The company's opening was a decisive factor in eliminating port congestion and improving efficiency at Lagos Port.

They are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Senior Data Analyst

Job Location: Lagos

Key Responsibilities

• Extract and manipulate large data volumes from SQL Server for ad-hoc analysis.
• Ensure data quality and integrity through rigorous validation processes.
• Support business departments in defining metrics and dashboards for performance monitoring.
• Identify inefficiencies or anomalies in existing data flows and propose optimization solutions.

Qualifications
Technical Requirements (Mandatory):

• SQL Server: Advanced/Expert level. Proficiency in writing complex queries, performance tuning, and creating Stored Procedures, Views, and Functions.
• Data Modeling: Proven experience in designing relational data models and data warehouse architectures.
• Data Analysis: 5+ years of experience in KPI monitoring, trend analysis, and executive reporting.
• BI Tools: Full proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar).

Soft Skills:

• Problem Solving: Ability to work independently on complex issues.
• Communication: Capability to translate technical jargon into clear reports for management.
• Attention to Detail: Extreme precision (essential for data quality management).
