We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Sales Team Lead (Automobile)

Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Job Summary

  • The Sales Team Lead is responsible for driving vehicle sales performance by leading, supervising, and motivating the sales team. The role focuses on achieving revenue and volume targets, improving conversion rates, managing pipelines, and ensuring disciplined execution of the sales process.
  • The Sales Team Lead also plays a key role in coaching sales agents, monitoring KPIs, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
Sales Performance & Target Achievement:

  • Drive the team to achieve monthly and annual vehicle sales targets.
  • Ensure strong pipeline management and deal closures.
  • Monitor revenue, unit sales, margins, and profitability.
  • Track performance against targets and implement corrective actions.
  • Identify sales opportunities across models, segments, and territories.

Team Leadership & Supervision:

  • Conduct regular performance reviews and feedback sessions.
  • Support recruitment and onboarding of new sales staff.
  • Lead, coach, and supervise sales executives / field agents.
  • Set clear performance expectations and KPIs.
  • Motivate the team to improve productivity and conversion rates.

Sales Process & Discipline:

  • Monitor deal progression from lead generation to vehicle delivery.
  • Prevent revenue leakages and sales irregularities.
  • Ensure accurate CRM / ERP updates by the sales team.
  • Maintain discipline in pricing, discounting, and approvals.
  • Ensure compliance with the company’s sales procedures.

Pipeline & Opportunity Management:

  • Monitor lead quality and follow-up effectiveness.
  • Improve conversion ratios and sales cycle efficiency.
  • Support agents in closing complex or high-value deals.
  • Review sales pipeline and forecast accuracy.

Customer Relationship & Experience:

  • Promote long-term customer retention and referrals.
  • Resolve escalated customer issues or objections.
  • Support key client negotiations when required.
  • Ensure high standards of customer engagement and satisfaction.

Market & Competitive Intelligence:

  • Provide feedback on customer preferences and product demand.
  • Identify opportunities for campaigns and promotions.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and pricing strategies.

Reporting & Performance Monitoring:

  • Track KPIs including:
    • Conversion rates
    • Revenue generated
    • Profit margins
    • Units sold
    • Pipeline coverage
  • Analyze performance gaps and recommend strategies.
  • Prepare sales performance reports for management.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Profitability / margin performance
  • Team productivity metrics
  • Pipeline coverage & forecast accuracy
  • Conversion rate / closing ratio
  • Sales revenue & unit targets
  • Customer satisfaction levels

Qualifications & Requirements

  • CRM / ERP familiarity (D365, SAP, etc.)
  • Minimum Qualification: HND / B.Sc Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field
  • Experience: 4–7 years in automobile sales
  • Prior leadership / supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of vehicle sales cycles
