We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Reporting Analyst

Location: Lagos

Job Summary

  • The Reporting Analyst will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining reports that provide meaningful business insights to support operational and strategic decision-making.
  • The ideal candidate will possess strong SQL and reporting skills, with the ability to transform complex data into accurate, insightful, and user-friendly reports. This role requires excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into reporting solutions.
  • Design, deploy, and maintain reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
  • Perform data validation and ensure the accuracy, integrity, and consistency of reports.
  • Automate recurring reports and improve reporting efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand reporting needs and deliver timely solutions.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance reporting processes.
  • Write and optimize SQL/T-SQL queries for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
  • Develop and manage ETL processes using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
  • Perform ad-hoc data analysis to support business operations.
  • Develop and maintain reporting documentation, data dictionaries, and process guides.
  • Design, develop, and maintain operational, management, and executive reports.
  • Prepare dashboards, scorecards, and performance reports to support business decision-making.
  • Troubleshoot reporting issues and optimize report performance.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and organizational policies.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Reduction in manual reporting processes through automation.
  • Accuracy and quality of reports produced.
  • Data integrity and compliance with reporting standards.
  • Report performance optimization and system efficiency.
  • Successful delivery of ad-hoc reporting requests within agreed timelines.
  • Stakeholder satisfaction with reporting outputs.
  • Timeliness of report delivery.

Educational Qualification

  • Minimum of Second Class Lower (2:2) for Bachelor's Degree or Upper Credit for HND.
  • Bachelor's Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, or any related quantitative discipline.

Experience:

  • 3 – 5years of experience in reporting, business intelligence, data analysis, or a related role.
  • Experience working with SQL Server databases and reporting environments is required.

Required Technical Skills:

  • Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
  • Strong proficiency in SQL.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, Power Query, Power Pivot, Advanced Formulas, Lookup Functions, Charts, Dashboards, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI will be an added advantage.
  • Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
  • Strong proficiency in T-SQL.
