We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Finance Associate

Location: Lagos

Description

  • The role ensures compliance with donor agreements, organizational financial policies, and reporting timelines and serves as a key finance partner to program teams.
  • The Program Finance Associate provides strategic and operational finance support for donor -funded and internal programs, including budget management, financial analysis, and preparation of program financial reports for donors and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a finance business partner to program teams, offering financial guidance to support
    informed planning and decision -making.
  • Ensure compliance with donor agreements, organisational financial policies, and audit standards.
  • Provide financial oversight and support to implementing partners and sub – grantees, including
    review of financial reports.
  • Prepare timely and accurate financial reports for donors and internal stakeholders in line with
    reporting requirements.
  • Develop, monitor, and control program budgets to ensure effective and appropriate use of funds.
  • Support internal and external audit processes, respond.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in program finance, donor reporting, partner/sub-grantee oversight, and audit support.
  • HND / Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
  • A professional accounting qualification such as ACCA (or ACA).
  • 6 - 10 years’ relevant finance experience, preferably within an NGO, international organisation, or donor-funded environment.
  • Proficient in using accounting systems for financial management and reporting.
  • Advanced skills for budgeting, financial analysis, and reporting.
