Job Title: QA Engineer

Location: Remote
Employment Type: Contract

Job Summary

  • You will work closely with developers and cross-functional teams to deliver stable and secure financial systems.
  • The role requires hands-on experience in software testing and automation, a strong understanding of QA processes, and the ability to identify and report defects.
  • We are seeking a QA Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, and security of web, mobile, and backend systems through effective testing and defect management.
  • The QA Engineer will support the testing and validation of backend, web, and mobile applications to ensure high quality, reliability, and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Reproduce and investigate reported bugs from users and support teams.
  • Document test cases, results, and QA reports clearly and accurately.
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated and manual test cases for web, mobile, and backend applications.
  • Stay updated on QA tools, testing techniques, and best practices
  • Execute test cases and report bugs, ensuring issues are properly tracked and resolved.
  • Work with developers, product managers, and designers to understand requirements and create test plans.
  • Perform regression testing to ensure existing features are not affected by new updates.
  • Assist in improving testing processes for new and existing products.
  • Monitor application quality and assist in tracking defects and performance issues.

Requirements

  • Basic understanding of APIs and API testing (RESTful services).
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and communication skills.
  • Good understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and Agile processes.
  • Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar).
  • First Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 2–3 years of experience in Quality Assurance or software testing.
  • Ability to write clear test cases and test documentation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Experience with version control systems like Git.
  • Familiarity with CI tools (e.g., Jenkins, CircleCI) is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of at least one programming language (Java, Python, or JavaScript) is a plus.
