Procurement Manager (Technical) Job

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Procurement Manager (Technical)

Job Location: Lagos

Scope and Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies for technical materials, including HVAC equipment, spare parts, compressors, refrigerants, and automotive components
• Source and evaluate suppliers for HVAC systems, tools, and automobile parts, ensuring quality, reliability, and cost competitiveness
• Manage procurement lifecycle: requisition, RFQ/RFP, evaluation, negotiation, purchase order issuance, and delivery follow-up
• Lead technical vendor negotiations, including pricing, warranties, service-level agreements (SLAs), and delivery timelines
• Collaborate with engineering and service teams to define technical specifications and requirements
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
• Develop and maintain a qualified vendor database for HVAC and automotive categories
• Monitor supplier performance and implement vendor evaluation and improvement plans
• Optimize inventory levels in coordination with stores to prevent stock-outs or overstocking of critical parts
• Support project teams with timely procurement of materials for installations and maintenance
• Track market trends, pricing benchmarks, and technological advancements in HVAC and automotive sectors
• Manage import processes where required (documentation, duties, logistics coordination)
• Maintain accurate procurement records and prepare periodic reports on cost savings and supplier performance
• Ensure adherence to HSE standards in procurement of technical materials
• Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
