We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Platform Transformation Lead (MS / SN / SAP / Oracle)

Position Summary

  • The Platform Transformation Lead is an Associate director-level role responsible for owning and driving KPMG's revenue from enterprise platform transformation mandates - specifically Microsoft (Azure, M365, Dynamics), ServiceNow, SAP, and Oracle - across African markets.
  • The Platform Transformation Lead is a key revenue contributor within Block A and a critical anchor for KPMG's relationships with its four primary technology alliance partners.
  • This role bridges the commercial pursuit of large platform deals with hands-on delivery leadership, ensuring that KPMG's platform practice is commercially productive, technically credible, and alliance aligned.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
Platform Revenue and Pursuit Leadership (45%):

  • Own a personally accountable revenue target for platform transformation mandates, with attribution across Microsoft, ServiceNow, SAP, and Oracle alliance pipelines.
  • Serve as the senior KPMG technical and commercial authority in all platform-related client engagements and negotiations.
  • Lead the pursuit of large platform transformation deals - ERP modernisation, cloud migration, platform consolidation, ServiceNow enterprise deployments - from qualification to signature.
  • Work with the Enterprise / Solution Architecture Leads (Block B) to ensure all platform proposals are technically sound and delivery-ready before contract signature.
  • Maintain active relationships with platform alliance partner teams (Microsoft, ServiceNow, SAP, Oracle) to ensure KPMG is positioned for co-sell and referral opportunities.

Delivery Ownership and Quality (35%):

  • Maintain ultimate accountability for delivery outcomes on platform transformation mandates within the portfolio, including client satisfaction, schedule adherence, and margin.
  • Enforce consistent delivery methodology, RAID discipline, and commercial governance on all platform engagements.
  • Lead multi-disciplinary delivery teams including KPMG consultants, alliance partner technical resources, and specialist subcontractors.
  • Collaborate with Block E (Enablement) to build and maintain reusable platform delivery accelerators, templates, and methodology assets.
  • Escalation points for delivery risk, scope disputes, and commercial variations; authority to mobilise additional resources or change engagement structure where needed.

Alliance and Ecosystem Development (20%):

  • Develop and grow the platform transformation capability within the T&I team, identifying skill gaps and supporting hiring and development decisions.
  • Actively manage KPMG's relationships with platform alliance partners, attending partner events, maintaining certifications, and participating in joint go-to-market planning.
  • Contribute to platform-specific thought leadership, including white papers, client briefings, and industry presentations.
  • Represent KPMG T&I in alliance partner advisory councils, partner conferences, and ecosystem events.

Requirements
Academic/ Professional qualifications and Experience:

  • Certification on at least one primary alliance platform (Microsoft Azure/M365, ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist, SAP S/4HANA, or Oracle Cloud) required.
  • Experience managing alliance partner relationships in a revenue-generating context.
  • Relevant Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or Engineering.
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in enterprise platform consulting, with at least 5 years at Director or equivalent level.
  • Proficiency in English; French an advantage.
  • Proven track record of delivering large-scale platform transformation programmes (ERP, cloud, ITSM) for enterprise or government clients in Africa.

Technical competencies & Personal attributes:
Demonstrate and articulate KPMG values as well as proven capability in:

  • Risk management-lead in ensuring full compliance with KPMG quality & risk management requirements
  • Commercial acumen: able to structure platform engagements for commercial viability and margin protection.
  • People management - Leadership & management skills.
  • Platform depth: recognised technical authority on at least one major enterprise platform with credible cross-platform knowledge.
  • Capacity building - Takes a lead in building capability of team to future proof workforce and full utilization of existing workforce.
  • Client influence: able to advise clients on platform strategy at CTO, CIO, and CFO level.
  • Business development: entrepreneurial mind-set and ability to identify opportunities and develop high quality proposals.
  • Performance management - Be a performance manager to the team in line with performance management guidelines.
  • Personal effectiveness - Excellent report-writing and presentation skills.
  • Collaborative mindset: able to work across KPMG member firms and external alliance partner teams.
  • Delivery leadership: comfortable owning large, complex platform programmes across multiple markets and delivery teams.
  • Market Intelligence: Demonstrate commercial awareness with sound knowledge of matters affecting the market.
  • Alliance management: proven ability to activate and leverage technology alliances to originate and win deals.
