We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Social Studies Teacher

Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse student performance and adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
• Participate in professional development activities, including workshops, seminars, and conferences.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by school management.
• Use interactive teaching methods to foster critical thinking, debate, and civic engagement.
• Encourage classroom discussions and inquiry-based learning to deepen understanding.
• Maintain open and respectful communication with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Monitor academic progress and communicate effectively with parents and school leadership.
• Design and deliver comprehensive lesson plans that align with curriculum standards in history, geography, government, and current affairs.

Requirements

• Experience in tutoring or classroom instruction is preferred.
• Completion of a teaching apprenticeship is an asset.
• Patience, creativity, and excellent multitasking abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, or a related field.
• Demonstrated 21st-century teaching skills, including collaboration, digital literacy, and critical thinking.
• TRCN certification is an added advantage
• Ability to use interactive or smart boards effectively.
• Familiarity with various teaching styles and digital learning tools.
