The Nasarawa State Universal Basic Education Board (NSUBEB) is a parastatal of the Nasarawa State Government established under the Universal Basic Education Act of 2004. NSUBEB is responsible for the management, supervision, and coordination of Universal Basic Education (UBE) programmes in Nasarawa State.
NSUBEB oversees public primary schools and junior secondary schools across all 13 Local Government Areas of Nasarawa State, serving over 500,000 pupils and employing thousands of teachers and non-teaching staff.
The Board works in partnership with the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) at the federal level, the Nasarawa State Government, Local Government Education Authorities (LGEAs), and development partners to improve the quality and access to basic education in the state.
