We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Lecturer I (Nursing Science)

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching, research, student supervision, and contributing to the academic and professional development of the Department in line with University standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Lecturer I in Nursing Science.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in curriculum development, academic advising, and departmental activities
  • Deliver undergraduate lectures in Nursing Science and related courses
  • Supervise students’ research projects, clinical postings, and practical training
  • Support accreditation processes and ensure compliance with professional and regulatory standards
  • Engage in community service and continuous professional development activities.
  • Conduct quality research and publish in reputable peer-reviewed journals

Requirements

  • Evidence of scholarly publications in reputable journals
  • Ph.D. in Nursing Science or a relevant field
  • Bachelor of Nursing Science (BNSc) and a Master’s degree in Nursing Science or a related specialty
  • 3–6 years teaching, research, and clinical experience in a University or recognized institution
  • Current registration and practicing license with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN)
  • Demonstrated teaching ability, research competence, and strong interpersonal skills.

Additional Advantage:

  • Evidence of research and publication potential
  • Membership of relevant professional bodies and participation in professional activities
  • Experience in student supervision and clinical coordination will be an added advantage.
