Job Title: Health Management Officer

Job Summary

We are currently looking for an Health Management Officer to run the operations side of our healthcare programs and facilities.

Job Responsibilities

1. Core Purpose

Plan, organize, and oversee health services to make sure they’re efficient, affordable, and meet quality standards. You’re managing programs, budgets, staff, and data – not treating patients directly.

2. Program & Facility Management

• Oversee daily operations of hospitals, clinics, or public health programs
• Schedule staff, manage workflows, and ensure protocols are followed

3. Budget & Resource Planning

• Prepare budgets and track spending
• Procure medical supplies and equipment
• Ensure resources are allocated where they’re needed most

4. Policy Implementation & Compliance

• Translate government health policies into action on the ground
• Ensure the facility/program complies with regulations and accreditation standards

5. Data, Monitoring & Reporting

• Collect service delivery data
• Analyze performance metrics
• Write reports for senior management and funders
• Use data to identify bottlenecks and improve services

6. Staff Management & Training

• Recruit, train, and supervise health workers and admin staff
• Handle performance reviews and conflict resolution

7. Stakeholder Coordination

• Liaise with government departments, NGOs, donors, and community groups to align goals and secure funding/support

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum of HND / B.Sc in Health Management, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or related field
• Previous experience in healthcare operations or program management is an added advantage
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage reports, budgets, and healthcare operations efficiently
• Good knowledge of healthcare policies and compliance standards
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data reporting tools
