Jewels Leading Lights Academy is a Christian school that started off in September 2013 and was born from the Bible club, where children gather every Saturday to learn about Jesus and how to shine as lights in their everyday lives. It was imperative to set up a learning environment that can breed a new generation that will be Christ-centered and also possess the kind of higher-order thinking and problem-solving abilities that will be needed in the 21st century. We noticed that it is evident that schools are failing to produce future generations with Godly character and even the kind of minds that will create new knowledge in the natural, physical, and social sciences.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Graduate Teachers (Mathematics, English & Science Education Background)

Location: Gwarinpa, Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

This role is designed to develop future educators through structured mentorship and classroom experience.
We are seeking enthusiastic and passionate fresh graduates with a background in Mathematics Education, English Education, or Science Education who are eager to build a career in teaching.

Key Responsibilities

Support assessment, marking, and learner progress tracking
Support classroom teaching in Mathematics, English, or Science
Participate in lesson planning and instructional preparation
Assist in delivering lessons under the supervision of senior educators
Uphold school values and contribute to a positive learning environment
Engage learners through guided academic support sessions
Participate in teacher training and professional development programmes

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics Education, English Education, Science Education, or related discipline
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong passion for teaching and child development
No prior teaching experience required, but it is an advantage.
Willingness to learn and receive feedback
