Job Title: Finance Manager (Female)

Location: Lagos

Job Summary

  • The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations of the organisation, ensuring sound financial management, regulatory compliance, and strategic financial planning in support of the company's growth objectives within the security services industry.
  • The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in a similar financial management role within security, facilities management, or related service industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Present financial performance reports and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and the Board as required.
  • Implement and monitor adherence to internal financial controls and company finance policies.
  • Coordinate and manage external and internal audits, ensuring timely resolution of audit findings.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations (VAT, PAYE, corporate tax, etc.) and statutory obligations.
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in compliance with IFRS/GAAP or applicable local accounting standards.
  • Develop and manage the company's annual budget, financial forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
  • Analyse the financial implications of contracts, bids, and service agreements within the security services business.
  • Maintain proper books of accounts and ensure all financial records are up to date and audit-ready.
  • Work closely with operations and business development teams to provide financial input on pricing and proposals.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in line with regulatory and management requirements.
  • Monitor cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to ensure the company meets its financial obligations.
  • Stay current with changes in financial regulations applicable to the security services sector.
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies, external auditors, and tax authorities as required.
  • Serve as the primary financial liaison with banks, investors, insurance providers, and other financial institutions.
  • Supervise and mentor finance team members, fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable insights to senior management on financial performance.
  • Monitor and manage operational costs, including personnel, equipment, and logistics, to ensure profitability on all contracts.

Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Professional certification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent) is an added advantage.

Experience:

  • Cognate experience in the security services, or related service industry is required.
  • Minimum of 3 – 5 years of progressive experience in a finance management or senior finance role.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, SAP, or similar ERP platforms).
  • Strong knowledge of FIRS, tax regulations, and financial compliance frameworks.
  • Experience with payroll systems and managing multi-site or contract-based financial operations.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, financial modelling, data analysis).
