Job Title: Field Sales Officer

Location: Ojodu Berger, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Field Sales Officer is responsible for driving sales growth, ensuring product availability, and maintaining strong relationships with retail outlets.
  • The role involves visiting assigned stores, merchandising products, monitoring stock levels, and executing trade marketing activities to maximize brand visibility and sales performance.

Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development:

  • Promote company products and secure orders from retailers
  • Identify new retail outlets and onboard them
  • Monitor competitor activities and provide market feedback
  • Achieve assigned sales targets within designated territory

Merchandising & Brand Visibility:

  • Implement promotional and trade marketing activities
  • Ensure correct pricing and visibility of all products
  • Maintain clean, organized, and attractive product shelves
  • Ensure proper product display in stores according to company standards

Relationship Management:

  • Address retailer concerns and resolve issues promptly
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with store owners and managers

Inventory & Stock Management:

  • Coordinate with distributors to ensure timely product delivery
  • Monitor stock levels in stores and prevent stock-outs
  • Track product movement and report slow/fast-moving items

Reporting & Administration:

  • Provide feedback on market trends and customer preferences
  • Maintain accurate records of visits, orders, and collections (if applicable)
  • Submit daily/weekly sales and activity reports

Requirements

  • 1–3 years experience in FMCG or retail sales
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet targets
  • Good knowledge of the local market and retail landscape
  • OND / HND / BSc Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field
  • Basic understanding of merchandising principles
