Job Title: Sales Manager for Automation, Instrumentation, and Control (AIC) in Oil & Gas

Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • A Sales Manager for Automation, Instrumentation, and Control (AIC) develops and executes sales strategies to drive revenue growth, leads and manages the sales team, builds and maintains strong relationships with clients, identifies new business opportunities within target markets like Oil & Gas, and collaborates internally to ensure customer satisfaction and success with the complex technical solutions provided.
  • They must possess strong leadership, negotiation, and technical sale.

Key Functions of an AIC Sales Manager in Oil and Gas
Sales Strategy & Planning:

  • Monitor market trends, supply and demand, and competitor activities to adjust strategies.
  • Establish sales forecasts, quotas, and objectives for the sales team and territories.
  • Develop, implement, and drive sales strategies aligned with company objectives to achieve sales targets and increase revenue.

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Provide technical and sales training to enhance team performance.
  • Manage and support the team in qualifying leads and meeting individual and team goals.
  • Lead, recruit, and develop a high-performing sales team with expertise in AIC products and solutions.

Customer & Account Management:

  • Build and nurture relationships with existing and potential new customers, including key accounts.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and market segments for AIC solutions.
  • Resolve customer complaints and ensure excellent customer service.

Business Development & Collaboration:

  • Identify and position existing and future AIC products for new market opportunities.
  • Prepare and deliver persuasive proposals, presentations, and product demonstrations to potential clients.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., engineering) to ensure proposed solutions meet customer specifications and expectations.

Reporting & Analysis:

  • Monitor economic indicators and industry trends to inform sales efforts.
  • Track, report, and analyze business activities and sales results to management.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in the industry.
  • Education Qualification: Bachelors in Engineering (B.E or BTech)
