We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Electrical Technician, Golden Penny Goods

Location: Apapa, Lagos

Purpose

  • The Electrical Technician is responsible for ensuring the reliable and safe operation of all electrical systems and equipment across milling and packaging operations.
  • The role involves executing preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis, and corrective repairs to minimize downtime and support continuous production, while complying with food safety, electrical, and plant safety standards.

The Job ?

  • Collaborate with production teams to support machine shutdowns, start-ups, and modifications for process improvement.
  • Carry out planned preventive maintenance tasks on all electrical equipment, machinery, and systems used in flour packing and packaging operations.
  • Carry out minor electrical installations and corrective maintenance works.
  • Diagnose and repair faults on motors, MCC panels, control circuits, sensors, conveyors, VFDs, and associated electrical systems
  • Support electrical maintenance of packing and packaging equipment, including baggers, weighers, sealers, palletizers, and conveyors
  • Participate in equipment installation, commissioning, and calibration activities as required.
  • Respond promptly to breakdowns and troubleshoot electrical faults to minimize production downtime.
  • Adhere strictly to all electrical safety protocols and plant safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, spare parts usage, and work orders records.

The Person Must?

  • Have good knowledge of electrical machines, devices, drawings, and controls.
  • Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Have effective verbal and written communication skills.

Qualifications:

  • 5 O’Level credits, including Mathematics and English.
  • NABTEB / City & Guilds (C&G) Technical in Electrical or related discipline.

?Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in electrical maintenance within a manufacturing or related industrial environment.
