Job Title: Electrical Technician, Golden Penny Goods
Location: Apapa, Lagos
Purpose
- The Electrical Technician is responsible for ensuring the reliable and safe operation of all electrical systems and equipment across milling and packaging operations.
- The role involves executing preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis, and corrective repairs to minimize downtime and support continuous production, while complying with food safety, electrical, and plant safety standards.
The Job ?
- Collaborate with production teams to support machine shutdowns, start-ups, and modifications for process improvement.
- Carry out planned preventive maintenance tasks on all electrical equipment, machinery, and systems used in flour packing and packaging operations.
- Carry out minor electrical installations and corrective maintenance works.
- Diagnose and repair faults on motors, MCC panels, control circuits, sensors, conveyors, VFDs, and associated electrical systems
- Support electrical maintenance of packing and packaging equipment, including baggers, weighers, sealers, palletizers, and conveyors
- Participate in equipment installation, commissioning, and calibration activities as required.
- Respond promptly to breakdowns and troubleshoot electrical faults to minimize production downtime.
- Adhere strictly to all electrical safety protocols and plant safety standards.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, spare parts usage, and work orders records.
The Person Must?
- Have good knowledge of electrical machines, devices, drawings, and controls.
- Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Have effective verbal and written communication skills.
Qualifications:
- 5 O’Level credits, including Mathematics and English.
- NABTEB / City & Guilds (C&G) Technical in Electrical or related discipline.
?Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in electrical maintenance within a manufacturing or related industrial environment.
