We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Deputy Station Manager

Location: Asaba, Delta

Job Summary

  • The role is responsible for supervising staff, managing inventory, monitoring sales and cash controls, ensuring regulatory compliance, maintaining high customer service standards, and enforcing Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) requirements.
  • We are looking for a proactive Deputy Station Manager who will oversee the daily operations of the station to ensure safe, efficient, and profitable operations.

Key Responsibilities
Operations Management:

  • Maintain station cleanliness and housekeeping standards.
  • Ensure continuous availability of petroleum products, LPG, lubricants, and other products.
  • Monitor dispenser functionality and operational efficiency.
  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and supervising daily station operations.
  • Ensure smooth opening and closing of daily station operations.
  • Supervise fuel receipt, product discharge, storage, dispensing, and reconciliation.
  • Ensure proper shift handovers and operational continuity.

Sales and Business Development:

  • Support marketing campaigns and customer engagement initiatives.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance reports.
  • Drive sales of fuels, lubricants, LPG, and non-fuel products.
  • Support the achievement of monthly and annual sales targets.
  • Monitor daily sales performance and recommend improvement initiatives.

Inventory Management:

  • Verify product receipts and stock transfers.
  • Conduct daily stock reconciliation.
  • Ensure inventory records are accurate and up to date.
  • Investigate stock variances and product losses.
  • Monitor daily stock levels of petroleum products, lubricants, LPG, and convenience store items.

Financial Management:

  • Supervise daily cash collections and reconciliations.
  • Assist in budget implementation and cost control.
  • Verify sales reports and banking records.
  • Monitor operating expenses and minimize operational losses.
  • Ensure compliance with cash handling and financial control procedures.

Staff Supervision:

  • Ensure employees comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Participate in staff performance evaluations.
  • Supervise and coordinate station employees.
  • Prepare work schedules and shift rosters.
  • Conduct on-the-job coaching and mentoring.
  • Monitor attendance, punctuality, and discipline.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Accounting, Logistics, or a related discipline.
  • Professional certification in Operations Management, Health & Safety, or Supply Chain Management is an added advantage.

Experience:

  • 3–5 years of experience in downstream oil and gas, petroleum retail operations, depot operations, or a related field.
