The Customer Sales Specialist (Finance) is responsible for acquiring new customers and promoting the organization's financial products and services. The role involves identifying sales opportunities, building strong customer relationships, achieving sales targets, and providing financial solutions that meet customers' needs while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities


  • Identify and acquire new customers through direct sales, referrals, field marketing, and networking activities.
  • Promote and sell the organization's financial products and services, including loans, savings, investment, insurance, or other financial solutions.
  • Conduct customer needs assessments and recommend suitable financial products.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing and prospective customers.
  • Generate quality leads and convert them into successful sales.
  • Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Educate customers on product features, benefits, pricing, and eligibility requirements.
  • Guide customers through the application and onboarding process.
  • Ensure all customer documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with internal policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline updates using CRM systems.
  • Follow up on loan applications, account openings, and customer inquiries to ensure timely resolution.
  • Conduct market intelligence to identify competitors' activities and emerging business opportunities.
  • Participate in sales campaigns, promotional events, and customer engagement activities.
  • Ensure strict compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and ethical sales practices.
  • Prepare and submit periodic sales and performance reports.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Economics, Banking, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1–3 years' experience in financial sales, banking, fintech, insurance, or consumer lending.
  • Experience in customer acquisition and relationship management is an advantage.
