Job Title: Commissioning Lead

Location: Bonny, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Purpose

  • The Commissioning Manager is responsible for the planning and safe execution of commissioning and start-up activities and to ensure new or modified facilities or assets are commissioned and started up safely and on time, complying with the project integrity and assurance requirements to achieve the agreed operating performance targets.
  • The Commissioning Manager shall further ensure a smooth and flawless handover from the Project.

Responsibilities

  • Advising on Contract strategy and staffing models forintegrated CSU teams, and potentially managing a CSU team.
  • Interfacing with engineering, procurement andconstruction groups regarding commissioning priorities and resolution of site queries.
  • Join and assist the construction team during Precommissioning to create a smooth transition and avoid doble checks within the commissioning phase.
  • Selection of suitably qualified and experienced personnel to staff the CSU Team.
  • Defining vendor representative support requirements,time schedule and cost forecast.
  • Defining inspection and testing requirements relating to Mechanical Completion and Pre-commissioning
  • Preparation of as-commissioned documentation to facilitate the handover of systems from construction, through commissioning and into operations.
  • Ensuring CSU risks are identified and necessary plans are in place, where required.
  • Managing Health, Safety and Environmental aspectsrelating to commissioning activities, in partnership with project and site construction managers.
  • Implementing and managing Change Control procedures during commissioning.
  • Developing, implementing and maintaining aCommissioning & Completions Management System, including punch list management and TQ interface.
  • Definition and development of the project completions / commissioning and start-up philosophy and strategy, and various levels of CSU plans.

Requirements

  • 10-15 years of experience in commissioning of similar oil and gas projects.
  • Engineering Degree in a relevant field.

Functional Skills:

  • Skilled in all software related to the role.
  • High proficiency in the English language is a must.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Past experience in Nigeria is preferable.
  • Able to effectively communicate with client.
