About the Role

  • We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Business Development Manager to drive business growth by identifying new market opportunities, acquiring new clients, and strengthening existing business relationships.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong commercial mindset, excellent relationship management skills, and a proven ability to develop and execute strategies that increase revenue and market presence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across target industries and markets.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop customized solutions that meet client requirements.
  • Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, networking sessions, and business meetings.
  • Develop and execute business development strategies to achieve revenue and growth objectives.
  • Negotiate commercial terms and successfully close business deals.
  • Conduct market research to identify customer needs, competitor activities, and emerging trends.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients.
  • Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling business presentations, proposals, and pitches.
  • Prepare regular business development reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates for management.
  • Generate qualified leads through networking, referrals, cold outreach, and strategic partnerships.
  • Manage and maintain a healthy sales pipeline using CRM tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent networking and relationship-building abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a hybrid work environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Willingness to travel within Lagos and other locations as required.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving or exceeding revenue targets.
  • 3–6 years of proven experience in Business Development, Sales, or Client Relationship Management.
