Laboratory Coordinator

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Notify staff of order status and receipt of goods
• Maintain updated and accurate records of all laboratory orders
• Monitor lab equipment performance and usage
• Lead procurement efforts of laboratory consumables, equipment, and other supplies as needed
• Coordinate facility maintenance for large projects
• Manage the chemical inventory compliance requirements for the labs
• Follow up on backordered items and find alternate item replacements/vendors as needed based on price and availability
• Work with laboratory assistant to update and maintain master inventory list
• Maintain and ensure sample chain of custody using a LIMS system and perform all aspects of sample management including receipt, aliquotting, storage, and shipping
• Monitors lab expenses relative to budget
