Job Title: Assistant Event Center Manager (Facility & Sales)

Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a proactive, customer-focused, and results-driven Assistant Event Center Manager (Facility & Sales) to support the daily operations of the event center while driving venue bookings and ensuring excellent facility management.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the venue to high operational standards, increasing revenue through sales and marketing initiatives, coordinating events, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities
Facility & Operations Management:

  • Coordinate maintenance and repairs, ensuring issues are resolved promptly.
  • Conduct routine inspections to ensure the venue, equipment, furniture, and utilities are in excellent condition.
  • Monitor cleanliness, safety, and compliance with company standards and health and safety regulations.
  • Ensure all event spaces are properly prepared before and after events.
  • Assist in the day-to-day management and smooth operation of the event center and its facilities.
  • Supervise facility support staff and external service providers where applicable.

Sales & Business Development:

  • Support marketing campaigns, promotional activities, and customer engagement initiatives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and other business partners.
  • Promote the event center to prospective clients to increase bookings and revenue.
  • Conduct venue tours and presentations for prospective clients.
  • Develop strategies to improve occupancy rates and maximize event bookings.
  • Respond promptly to customer enquiries, prepare quotations, and follow up on leads.

Event Coordination & Customer Service:

  • Resolve customer complaints professionally and promptly.
  • Liaise with vendors, decorators, caterers, and other service providers to ensure successful event execution.
  • Ensure events are delivered according to agreed specifications and timelines.
  • Coordinate with clients from booking through event execution to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Gather client feedback and recommend service improvements.

Administration & Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of bookings, payments, maintenance activities, and operational reports.
  • Monitor inventory of facility supplies and recommend replenishment when necessary.
  • Support budget monitoring and cost-control initiatives.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly sales and operational reports for management.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in event center operations, hospitality, facility management, or sales.
  • Bachelor's Degree or HND in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Marketing, Estate Management, or a related discipline.
  • Good knowledge of facility maintenance and event operations.
  • Strong sales, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proven experience in customer relationship management and business development.
  • Ability to work weekends, public holidays, and flexible hours when events require.
