Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly experienced and creatively driven long-form video editor to join our team, working on a vibrant YouTube channel for a public figure.
- This role is suited to a professional who understands how to transform raw footage into compelling, high-retention content that feels premium, intentional, and on-brand.
- You will be editing content for high-profile individuals, so a strong sense of storytelling, pacing, and audience psychology is essential. The ideal candidate knows how to hold attention over longer formats while elevating the viewing experience through clean, impactful editing choices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Edit long-form YouTube content to a high professional standard, ensuring a seamless and engaging final product
- Shape and structure narratives to maximise viewer retention and watch time
- Integrate refined text overlays, subtitles, and motion graphics that enhance rather than overwhelm
- Apply thoughtful pacing, cuts, and visual rhythm aligned with premium content standards
- Collaborate closely with the team to execute creative direction and maintain brand consistency
- Manage multiple edits efficiently while meeting deadlines without compromising quality
Job Requirements:
- Strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality long-form YouTube edits
- Proven ability to edit content similar in style to top-tier podcasts and interview formats
- Ability to create YouTube shorts and short-form content from long-form editing.
- Advanced proficiency in editing software such as Premiere Pro, Final Cut, and After Effects
- High-level skills in text design, animation, and motion graphics
- Exceptional understanding of pacing, storytelling, and viewer engagement
- Strong attention to detail and a polished, professional editing style
Preferred:
- Experience working with creators, personal brands, or public figures
- Strong understanding of YouTube content strategy and audience behaviour
- Ability to take initiative and bring creative ideas to the table
