We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Wholesale Sales Representative (Haircare & Beauty)

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

About the Role

  • This role is focused on one thing: Getting more active distributors, wholesalers, resellers, salons, beauty stores, and retail partners consistently buying African Naturalistas products in larger quantities.
  • This is a hands-on role for someone who is hungry for sales, enjoys building relationships, and is comfortable using both digital and physical methods to grow wholesale revenue.
  • The ideal candidate is not just a marketer or office-based salesperson, but someone who can actively source leads, follow up persistently, close wholesale deals, and maintain long-term distributor relationships.

What You Will Own

  • Use WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, email, phone calls, and physical visits to prospect and close new wholesale accounts.
  • Recommend promotional ideas and distributor incentive strategies to improve sales performance.
  • Work closely with the operations and production teams to communicate distributor demand and inventory needs.
  • Source and onboard new distributors, wholesalers, salons, beauty supply stores, and retail partners.
  • Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of distributor leads and opportunities.
  • Reactivate dormant distributors and strengthen relationships with existing wholesale customers.
  • Maintain accurate records of leads, follow-ups, active distributors, sales performance, and reorders.
  • Gather market intelligence, competitor insights, distributor feedback, and customer trends to help improve business decisions.
  • Grow African Naturalistas’ wholesale and distributor sales across different regions and channels.
  • Ensure wholesale customers receive excellent support, fast communication, and proper issue resolution.
  • Represent African Naturalistas professionally at trade fairs, beauty events, activations, and networking opportunities when necessary.
  • Follow up consistently with prospects and distributors to encourage repeat orders and stronger sales volumes.
  • Conduct physical market visits, salon visits, beauty store visits, and networking activities to grow distribution.

KPIs / Success Metrics

  • Number of new active distributors onboarded monthly.
  • Pipeline growth and follow-up consistency.
  • Monthly wholesale revenue growth.
  • Number of physical visits and prospecting activities completed weekly.
  • Distributor reorder frequency.
  • Number of dormant distributors reactivated.
  • Sales conversion rate from leads to active wholesale customers.

Candidate Profile

  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
  • Organized and disciplined with follow-up and reporting.
  • Good people skills and friendly disposition.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Experience using WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, and other digital platforms for business development or sales outreach.
  • Willing to travel locally for distributor meetings and market visits when necessary.
  • Strong confidence in speaking, negotiating, following up, and closing deals.
  • Comfortable with both online prospecting and physical field sales.
  • Proven ability to generate sales and acquire customers/distributors independently.
  • Highly self-motivated and proactive with minimal supervision.
  • 2–5+ years experience in wholesale sales, distributor management, business development, FMCG, beauty, cosmetics, skincare, haircare, or related industries.

Experience:

  • Sales: 2 years (Required)
  • Marketing: 2 years (Required)
  • Distribution: 1 year (Required)
  • Consumer Goods Sales: 2 years (Required)

  • You prefer highly corporate environments with rigid structures and large support teams.
