Grundtvig International Secondary School is a multi award-winning co-educational boarding school owned by the Grundtvig Movement of Nigeria, a non-governmental organisation committed to the development of “Education for Life” in Nigeria. The Board of Trustees of the Grundtvig Movement controls the operations of the school through the principal. The Grundtvig Movement is inspired by the Danish Education-for-Life philosopher Bishop N.F.S. Grundtvig (1783-1872) and our rich tradition. We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Vice Principal (Administration)

Location: Oba, Anambra

Job Description

  • The Vice Principal (Administration) will report directly to the Principal and be responsible for the effective administration of the school's non-academic operations.
  • The successful candidate will oversee non-academic staff and activities, coordinate and supervise the smooth running of the school's daily routine, promote high standards of discipline and order, supervise sanitation and housekeeping, oversee the maintenance of school facilities, and work closely with the Senior Management Team to ensure an efficient, safe, orderly, and conducive learning environment.

Person Specification
The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamworking skills.
  • Demonstrable leadership, organisational, and administrative skills, with the ability to maintain high standards of discipline, order, and service delivery.
  • Excellent spoken and written English, with strong computer literacy.
  • At least 3 years of cognate experience as a Vice Principal or in an equivalent leadership position in a reputable boarding secondary school.
  • Unimpeachable integrity, high work ethics, and a professional presence that inspires confidence and respect.
  • Experience in organising and supervising co-curricular activities in a boarding school.
  • A good First Degree and preferably a relevant postgraduate qualification.

Salary
