We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Maintenance Engineer (Injection and Mold Machines)

Location: Onitsha, Anambra
Employment Type: Full-time

Description

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our technical team.
  • The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing injection moulding machines and moulds, ensuring maximum equipment uptime and production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor machine performance and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on injection moulding machines and related equipment.
  • Collaborate with the production team to resolve machine-related issues promptly.
  • Perform machine setup, calibration, and commissioning after maintenance activities.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults.
  • Install, maintain, and service moulds, ensuring optimal performance and product quality.
  • Train machine operators on basic maintenance and proper equipment handling where necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and spare parts inventory.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
  • 3–5 years' relevant maintenance experience in a plastic manufacturing company.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical manuals.
  • Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and time management skills.
  • Proven experience working with injection moulding machines and plastic moulds.
  • NYSC or discharge certificate
