We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Tax Supervisor
Job Location: Lagos

Role Purpose

  • To support effective tax management by ensuring accurate tax computation, timely filing and remittance of statutory obligations, coordination of tax accounting and reconciliations, and providing tax advisory on business transactions, while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Role Accountabilities

  • Analyse the tax aspects of any agreements made by the company with third parties and advise managers accordingly.
  • Co-ordinate different accounting units to ensure proper accounting and reconciliation of taxes.
  • Manage tax provision and tax compliance process.
  • Filing of TDS Return, Sales Tax Return, Work Contract Tax Return, Service Tax Return, TCS Return, and Income-Tax Return & Wealth Tax Return.
  • Deposit of Income Tax, Sales Tax, Services Tax, Work Contract Tax, Tax Collected at source, Tax Deducted at Source, Wealth Tax etc.
  • Prepare and send MIS report on the status of all tax related compliance.
  • Comply with Quality Management System / Occupational Health & Safety requirements including objectives and applicable regulations relating to assigned jobs.
  • Carry out any other duty as requested by the Unit Head or Head of Department.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or it's equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related numerate disciplines
  • 2-5 years of progressive experience in tax advisory and compliance.
  • Highly preferred certification from ICAN (Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria), ACCA, or CITN (Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria).
  • Good understanding of Nigerian tax legislation (Companies Income Tax, VAT, Withholding Tax, Personal Income Tax), along with experience in managing tax audits and disputes.
