Talentos Consult - Our client software is an operations system built for the Nigerian drinks wholesale and retail trade. It replaces the notebooks and scattered records depot owners rely on with one simple tool: a live stockmovement ledger, returnable-empties tracking by brand, credit and debtor control, and WhatsApp-ready invoices in Naira. It is built for how the trade actually works on the ground.

They are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Software Sales Executive

Location: Lagos
Reports to: Sales Lead

Role Summary

  • This is a hands-on, relationship-led role. The best person here understands the trade, speaks the language of the market, and can sit across from a depot owner and earn trust fast.
  • You will own the full sales cycle - finding drinks depots, wholesalers, and distributors, showing them how the softwaresolves the problems they live with daily (lost empties, unpaid credit, stock that does not reconcile), and closing them onto a subscription.

What you’ll do

  • Run product demos (often on the customer’s own phone or laptop) showing the empties, credit, and invoicing features.
  • Generate and qualify leads among drinks depots, wholesalers, distributors, and retail chains.
  • Keep your own pipeline and activity records accurate.
  • Build long-term relationships that drive renewals and referrals across the trade.
  • Feed customer objections and feature requests back to the product team.
  • Close new subscriptions and hit monthly sales targets.

Key Performane Indicator

  • On-target earnings (OTE): N4.9M– N6.4M per year with strong performance — base plus realistic commission.

What we’re looking for

  • Proven sales experience, ideally selling software, services, or products into the FMCG, drinks, or wholesale/retail trade.
  • Comfortable doing demos and explaining a digital tool to non-technical buyers.
  • Strong understanding of how Nigerian drinks depots and distributors operate (empties, credit, cash flow).
  • Excellent communication in English and relevant local languages.
  • Honest, organised, and persistent.
  • Self-starter who can work a territory independently and hit targets.

Nice to have

  • Existing relationships within the drinks distribution network.
  • Experience selling SaaS or subscription products.

Compensation

  • Commission: 10% of each customer’s first-year contract value, uncapped, paid monthly as the customer pays.
  • The more you sell, the more you earn, with no ceiling.
  • Data allowance: N10,000 per month.
  • Base salary: N200,000 per month.
