Job Title: Shift Instrument Supervisor (6000TCD Mill Operation)

Location: SSC P-Numan, Adamawa

Job Summary

  • The Shift Instrument Supervisor is accountable for the efficient operation and maintenance of all Instrumentation / Automation systems associated with the 6000 TCD milling section, ensuring reliable power supply, equipment performance, and adherence to safety standards and operational procedures.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely repair and replacement of Instruments & Automation components to maintain production continuity.
  • Plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
  • Responsible for the operation, maintenance, and performance of the milling plant Instrumentation & Automation to ensure continuous, safe, and smooth operation of the 6000 TCD milling section.
  • Implement and monitor safety practices and ensure compliance with statutory and company safety standards.
  • Liaise with the process and quality control departments to ensure optimal juice extraction and sugar recovery.
  • Maintain strict discipline and performance monitoring among operating and maintenance personnel.
  • Maintain proper records, logbooks, and reports of mill operations, downtime, and maintenance activities.
  • Support the management in planning annual overhauls, project upgrades, and capacity enhancement initiatives.
  • Coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical and all sections for seamless operation of auxiliary systems.
  • Provide technical guidance and on-the-job training to subordinates for skill enhancement and performance improvement.
  • Monitor and control and other key operational parameters.
  • Ensure availability of critical spares and consumables in coordination with the stores and procurement teams.

Educational Qualification and Work Experience

  • Shall hold the minimum of B-Tech / BE / BSc / HND in Instrumentation / Electronics & Communication Engineering.
  • COREN,NSE or Any related professional qualification (Optional)
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in mill operation and maintenance within a sugar or similar process industry.
