Job Title: Crusher Operator
Location: Ngaski LGA, Kebbi
Employment Type: Full-time
Role Summary
- The Crusher Operator is responsible for the safe, efficient, and continuous operation of the crushing stationto achieve daily production targets while maintaining the highest standards of safety, equipment care, and operational efficiency.
- The role involves monitoring crushing equipment, identifying and reporting operational issues, carrying out routine inspections and basic maintenance, and ensuring the smooth processing of raw materials in compliance with company procedures and EHSstandards.
- The successful candidate will play a critical role in maximizing materialavailability, minimizing downtime, and supporting the Company’s mining and mineral processing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate crushing plant equipment in accordance with approved operating procedures and safety standards.
- Monitor crusher performance and make necessary operational adjustments to achieve production targets.
- Conduct routine inspections of crushers, conveyors, screens, feeders, and associated equipment.
- Identify equipment abnormalities and promptly report faults to the Maintenance team.
- Perform basic preventive maintenance and housekeeping around the crushing plant.
- Ensure the proper feeding of materials into the crusher while minimizing downtime and material wastage.
- Maintain accurate production, downtime, and equipment inspection records.
- Comply with all Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) policies and procedures.
- Participate in shift handovers and communicate operational issues effectively.
- Carry out any other duties assigned by Management within the scope of the role.
Requirements
- Minimum of Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE), OND, or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 3 years’ proven experience operating crushing plants in a mining, quarry, cement, or mineral processing environment.
- Good understanding of crusher operations, conveyors, vibrating screens, feeders, and related processing equipment.
- Ability to identify common mechanical issues and report defects promptly.
- Knowledge of safe work practices within an industrial or mining environment.
- Physically fit and capable of working in demanding outdoor conditions.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when operationally required.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience operating jaw or conecrushers.
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and operational excellence.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced production environment.
Salary
- N150,000 – N200,000 per month.
