Senior Executive Assistant to the MD

Description

• We are seeking an exceptional Senior Executive Assistant to partner closely with our Managing Director/CEO and support the strategic objectives of the Executive Office.
• The successful candidate will manage executive priorities, coordinate strategic initiatives, oversee executive communications, engage key stakeholders, and ensure the seamless operation of the Executive Office.
• This is more than a traditional Executive Assistant role. We are looking for a highly organized, proactive, and business-minded professional who will serve as a trusted partner to the MD/CEO, support the other executives (COO, CFO), providing strategic executive support while leading the Corporate Communications function for the Executive Office.

Key Responsibilties

• Handle highly confidential information with the highest level of discretion and professionalism.
• Support media, investor, partner, and stakeholder communication materials where required.
• Conduct research, analyse business information, and prepare reports to support executive decision-making.
• Manage the MD/CEO's calendar, meetings, travel, and executive engagements.
• Lead the Corporate Communications function, ensuring consistent executive messaging and alignment with the company's brand and communication strategy.
• Coordinate internal communications, leadership announcements, employee engagement communications, and executive presentations.
• Serve as the primary liaison between the MD/CEO and internal/external stakeholders.
• Supervise support staff within the Executive Office.
• Coordinate Board and Executive Management meetings, prepare agendas, presentations, reports, minutes, and track action items.
• Coordinate strategic projects and monitor execution across business units.
• Provide strategic, administrative, and operational support to the MD/CEO.
• Draft executive correspondence, speeches, reports, business presentations, and briefing notes.
• Review documents for quality, accuracy, and completeness before executive approval.

Requirements

• Strong business writing, presentation development, report writing, and stakeholder management skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.
• Knowledge of corporate governance, executive office operations, event management, media relations, and executive social media/LinkedIn management will be an added advantage.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong project management, planning, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Experience coordinating Board meetings and preparing Board papers is highly desirable.
• Experience within Financial Services, Leasing, Banking, Mobility, Consulting, or other regulated industries will be an added advantage.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, Mass Communication, Corporate Communications, Social Sciences, Humanities, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years' progressive experience supporting C-Suite executives in Executive Assistant, Executive Office Management, Corporate Communications, or similar senior roles.
• Proven experience in Corporate Communications, Internal Communications, Executive Communications, Public Relations, or Brand Communications.
• Master's degree or relevant professional certification is an added advantage.
• Demonstrated experience supporting a CEO, Managing Director, Executive Director, or Board-level executive.
• High level of professionalism, emotional intelligence, confidentiality, and executive presence.
