Senior Dynamic Positioning Officer (DPO)

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Senior Dynamic Positioning Officer (DPO)

Location: Offshore, Nigeria
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure that the DP watch is conducted in accordance with MTS & IMCA recommendations and in accordance with the Company DP Philosophy and/or client requirements
• Ensure the DP system is operating correctly and report any defects in accordance with the company's expectations
• SDPO & Senior Watch keeper when vessel in DP and/or in conventional mode
• Responsible for the safe operation of the shift and in charge of the DP Operation
• Responsible for safe navigation and conduct of the vessel as a Watch keeper when not in DP
• Provide mentoring and guidance to DPOs

Required Skills and Experience

• Kongsberg HiPAP LBL Operator & Kongsberg HAIN.
• Marine Class 2 or Class 1 is highly desirable and candidates in possession of superior certificates will be given preference
• Unlimited DP Certificate
• 10 years working experience on a drilling vessel and 5 years in the role
• Must have recent and extensive Kongsberg K-POs DP32 experience
• Nationality: Nigerian.
• Adequate knowledge and experience of drilling vessel/rig operations whilst in DP mode
• Previously served on a DP drilling vessel or have undergone supervised training up to the required standard
