The company was established to be an international player with regional strength as a provider of underwater and topside IRM (Inspection, Repair, and Maintenance) of FPSOs, Rigs, SPMs, and offshore and onshore terminals /platforms, primarily in Nigeria.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Barge Engineer

Location: Offshore, Nigeria
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Bosun, Crane Operator, Radio Operator, (and DP) report to Barge Engineer during shift
On Scene Commander during an emergency
Deputises for Barge Master in the event that the Barge Master becomes incapacitated
Ensure that Daily Heli-Fuel checks are carried out by the HLO or designate
Manage the safe efficient running of the Marine Department as directed by Barge Master

Required Skills and Experience

Nationality: Nigerian
Fire Team Leader
Valid UK Class 2 (Chief Mates) Certificate of Competency or equivalent
Previous, extensive experience as a Barge Engineer on deep-water drilling vessel
DP certificate if serving on DP units
IWCF Well Control – Level 2
18 years relative experience
Exposure to operations in areas such as Dynamic Positioning Officer/Senior Dynamic Positioning Officer on a drilling vessel including extensive Watch keeping
