Job Title: Sectional Head, Kiln

Location: Okpella Plant, Edo

Job Summary

• This position ensures optimal kiln performance, leads maintenance activities, and supports process improvements to achieve production and quality goals.
• We are seeking a dedicated Sectional Head, Kiln at Dangote - Okpella Cement Limited who will be tasked with managing the mechanical integrity and operational efficiency of the kiln section.

Key Duties And Responsibilities

• Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by Head of Mechanical.
• Develop and execute maintenance schedules, including shutdown planning and execution.
• Monitor kiln performance metrics and implement improvement initiatives.
• Oversee mechanical operations and maintenance of the kiln and associated equipment.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and environmental standards.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues affecting kiln performance.
• Lead and develop technical staff within the kiln section.
• Coordinate with process and electrical teams for integrated operational support.
• Training new and existing staff on safety procedures, equipment operation, and troubleshooting techniques.

Requirements
Education and Work Experience:

• Bachelor`s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent.
• Minimum of fifteen (15) years of progressive experience in cement plant operations with at least 5 years in a supervisory role in the kiln section.
