Job Title: Wafer Line Oven Operator and Cream Operator
Location: Sango ota, Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time
Job Summary
- The Wafer Oven Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining the wafer baking oven and related equipment to ensure continuous production of high-quality wafer sheets according to production and food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate wafer baking ovens and related conveyor systems safely and efficiently.
- Monitor oven temperature, baking time, gas pressure, and burner performance.
- Ensure proper color, texture, thickness, and moisture level of wafer sheets.
- Adjust oven settings according to product specifications and production requirements.
- Feed batter to the baking system and monitor smooth flow during production.
- Identify and remove damaged, burnt, or undercooked wafer sheets.
- Maintain cleanliness of oven area and equipment according to GMP and hygiene standards.
- Record production data, downtime, temperature readings, and machine performance.
- Coordinate with batter mixing, cream section, and packing department for smooth production flow.
- Perform routine checks on burners, chains, motors, sensors, and conveyor systems.
- Report machine faults, gas leakage, abnormal sounds, or safety hazards immediately.
- Minimize wastage and maintain production efficiency targets.
- Follow company safety rules, food safety procedures, and PPE requirements.
- Assist maintenance team during servicing and breakdown repairs.
Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
- Oven efficiency and uptime
- Reduction in burnt/rejected wafers
- Production target achievement
- Proper temperature control
- Cleanliness and GMP compliance
- Low downtime and wastage reduction.
Qualifications
- Minimum of an SSCE / OND / Technical qualification preferred.
- Experience in wafer biscuit or food manufacturing industry is an advantage.
Working Conditions:
- Standing for long hours near heated equipment.
- Shift duty including night operation may be required.
- Use of safety shoes, gloves, nose mask, and other PPE.
Required Skills & Knowledge:
- Basic knowledge of industrial ovens and production machinery.
- Understanding of temperature control and baking process.
- Ability to monitor product quality continuously.
- Good observation and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and during shift operations.
- Knowledge of GMP, hygiene, and factory safety practices.
Salary
N100,000 – N150,000 monthly.
