Job Summary

• We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager to oversee and enforce health and safety standards at our mining site/factory in Nasarawa.
• The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with all safety regulations, promote a safe working environment, and minimize workplace risks.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies and procedures
• Ensure compliance with local and international safety regulations
• Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments
• Investigate accidents/incidents and implement corrective actions
• Organize safety training and awareness programs for staff
• Monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Maintain safety records and prepare reports for management
• Liaise with regulatory authorities on safety compliance matters
• Promote a strong safety culture across the organization

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field
• Professional certification in HSE (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) is an advantage
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a mining or industrial environment
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and risk management
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
