We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Project Assistant - Hygiene & Non Food items

Contract type: Special Short Term Graded (Up to 9 months)
Initial Contract Duration: 6 months
Grade: G-4
Responsibilities
- Assist in the implementation and monitoring of NFI project activities.
- Retrieve, compile, summarize, and present information/data on specific NFI project topics.
- Monitor budget; verify availability of funds; obtain necessary approval and update budget related information.
- Draft status reports, identifying shortfalls in delivery and bringing them to the attention of the supervisor.
- Draft correspondence, reports, briefing notes, graphics, statistical tables, presentations and other forms of documentation.
- Organize meetings, workshops and training sessions.
- Respond to general information requests and inquiries; set up and maintain files/records.
- Support administrative coordination of NFI project implementation, involving liaison with diverse organizational units and external parties to initiate requests, obtain necessary clearances, process and follow-up on administrative actions, etc.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Education:
- School Diploma with four years of relevant experience; or,
- Bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law, Science or related fields from an accredited academic institution with two years of relevant professional experience.
Experience:
- Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, United Nations agencies and non-governmental organizations;
- Experience in working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking and other vulnerable groups; and,
- Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage.
Skills:
- Ability to conduct NFI needs assessments and household-level verification
- Ability to prepare distribution plans, beneficiary tokens/lists, and post?distribution documentation
- Understanding of mainstreaming Protection, gender considerations, and accessibility needs in NFI/Hygiene activities for a protection?sensitive distribution approaches
- Knowledge of warehouse management procedures (GRNs, stock cards, bin cards)
- Skills in stock management and inventory tracking
- Ability to work effectively and harmoniously with colleagues from varied cultures and professional backgrounds;
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure;
- Good level of computer literacy; personal commitment, efficiency, flexibility, drive for results
- Knowledge of SAP is an advantage;
- Ability to set up, manage, and maintain CFM systems, including multiple channels (hotline, helpdesk, suggestion boxes, field focal points)
- Understanding of AAP (Accountability to Affected Populations) principles and data protection requirements, ensuring safe handling of sensitive information
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills;
- Ability to produce quantitative summaries (distribution reports, beneficiary lists, stock movement reports
- Ability to contribute to NFI technical BoQs
- Understanding of Sphere Standards related to NFIs (quantities, quality specifications, distribution modalities)
- Ability to present clear and concise information;
