Job Title: Pharmacy Assistant

Location: Egbeda, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The role requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and previous experience working in a community pharmacy.
  • The Pharmacy Assistant supports the daily operations of the community pharmacy by assisting with customer service, medication preparation, stock management, and maintaining a clean and organised pharmacy environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, arrange, and replenish stock on shelves.
  • Process sales transactions and issue receipts where required.
  • Support the pharmacist with day-to-day administrative and operational tasks.
  • Welcome and attend to customers in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Prepare and package medications for dispensing.
  • Assist in processing prescriptions under the supervision of the pharmacist.
  • Respond to customer enquiries and refer clinical questions to the pharmacist.
  • Monitor stock levels and report low stock or expired products.
  • Ensure compliance with pharmacy policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and well-stocked pharmacy environment.

Requirements

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic computer literacy and experience using a Point of Sale (POS) system is an added advantage.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Good understanding of community pharmacy operations and over-the-counter (OTC) products.
  • Minimum ofOND, or equivalent qualification.
  • Professional appearance, integrity, and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • At least 1 year of prior experience working in a community pharmacy is required.

Salary
N70,000 - N80,000 per month
