Job Summary
- The Managing Director will serve as the chief executive of the organisation, providing strategic direction, driving business growth, and ensuring sustained profitability and regulatory compliance across all operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall strategic leadership and set the long-term vision for the organisation.
- Drive revenue growth, market expansion, and stakeholder value creation.
- Oversee all operational functions including finance, technology, risk, and customer experience.
- Build and sustain relationships with regulators, investors, board members, and key partners.
- Lead and develop a high-performing executive team.
- Ensure full compliance with CBN regulations and relevant financial services legislation.
- Report directly to the Board of Directors and implement board-approved strategies.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of a first degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is required.
- At least 15 years of progressive experience in financial services, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record of growing a financial institution or managing a complex P&L.
- Deep knowledge of the Nigerian financial services landscape and regulatory framework.
- Strong board-level communication, stakeholder management, and governance skills.
- Membership of a relevant professional body (CIBN, ICAN, CIPM, or equivalent) is an advantage.
